Over my 20-year career as a creative director at well-known media companies, I honed my design aesthetic, strengthened my ability to visually communicate ideas, and developed the creative talents of my teams.
Eventually, my love of drawing—buzzing in early childhood but dormant in the daily grind of adult life—tapped me on the shoulder. In the off-hours outside of my day job, I picked up a pencil and began to draw again, just for the joy of it. Feeling invigorated, I spent time with artists and illustrators. I took courses. I attended conferences and workshops. I learned… a lot.
Sixteen months later, this vigorous side hustle resulted in two picture book contracts with major publishers, so I chose to leave the comfort of the corporate design world and follow a more inspired path.
Now, I use the unique combination of my skills in illustration and strong background in design to create a broad range of work. I am the author-illustrator of three—and illustrator of six—children’s books published with major houses like Scholastic, Simon & Schuster, HarperCollins, and more. My running-inspired art series, View From My Run, was featured by Runner’s World and has inspired thousands of creatively-curious runners on Instagram. And I’ve created smart design solutions for a wide range of clients from major brands to startups to bestselling authors.
