Children’s Book Marketing Campaign


Creative Direction

Pax and Blue (Simon & Schuster) is a friendship story that was released a week before Valentine's Day. In order to generate pre-sales, I created a "friendship note" marketing campaign inspired by the small valentine cards often shared between children in school.

With each order, purchasers received a set of four friendship notes with various messages, matching envelopes, a sheet of four stickers, and a signed bookplate. The notes were positioned as valentines, but the designs were holiday agnostic in order to have a longer shelf life past the holiday.

The campaign was promoted on the my website and across Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. In the two weeks following the launch of the pre-order campaign, I virtually gave away four friendship notes to special people who helped in the creation of the book.
